After much looking and getting up early, I had an idea. I wanted an new image of the dive of the kingfisher. I started working on a setup. Built a hide, put a stick a little bit further, made sure there were little fishes in the pond and waited anxiously. After a long wait, I could make some pictures where I was equally silent about.. My research work about the doings of the kingfisher and my patience paid off. But I still wanted to go further. I wanted an underwater image of my favorite bird. I thought about a suitable arrangement … With this setup, I succeeded in my intent, “The blue fisherman” as result. Kingfishers photography is my passion. They continue to fascinate me. And I keep searching for beautiful images and new ideas. I enjoy it. I come home with beautiful observations that I gain if I wait even if I don’ t have good images.
